The Big Game Big Ticket CONSUMER SWEEPSTAKES
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS INTENDED FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE UNITED STATES ONLY AND WILL BE GOVERNED BY U.S. LAW. DO NOT ENTER IF YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE. OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL UNITED STATES RESIDENTS RESIDING IN PENNSYLVANIA, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, MARYLAND, CONNECTICUT, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, VIRGINIA, AND DELAWARE, 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY.
1. PROMOTION PERIOD: The Big Game Big Ticket CONSUMER SWEEPSTAKES (the “Sweepstakes”) begins 8:00:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on December 27, 2024 and ends 11:59:59 PM PT on January 23, 2025 (the “Promotion Period”).
2. ELIGIBILITY: Big Game Big Ticket Sweepstakes is open to all residents of PA, NJ, NY, MD, CT, DC, VA and DE ages 18 and over. No purchase necessary to enter or win. Employees or family members of employees of Albertsons Companies Inc., ACME Markets, LLC, Beasley Media, WMGK or the Participating Manufacturers, their parent companies, or affiliates (“Released Parties”), are not eligible to participate in this Sweepstakes. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws apply. Odds of winning the prize depend on the number of entries received. Only one prize per person and per household will be awarded.
3. TWO (2) WAYS TO ENTER:
• ENTRY METHOD #1 via for U™: To enter via this method, you must have a for U™ member card/account (“Account”). If not already registered, go to ACMEMARKETS.com or SAFEWAY.com (the “Website(s)”) or download the Safeway or ACME Markets App (the “Mobile App(s)”) (available free on the App Store or Android App on Google Play) and follow the instructions to register for the for U™ Loyalty Program. Then, during the Promotion Period, to enter via the Website or Mobile App, sign into your Account and digitally clip the “Big Game Big Ticket” coupon (“Offer”) to opt in. Once the offer is clipped, you will automatically receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. Entries will be deemed to have been made by the natural person registered to the Account, regardless of who clips the offer, as long as such person is otherwise eligible in accordance with these Official Rules. Accounts are free and subject to these terms and conditions: https://www.albertsonscompanies.com/about-us/our-policies.html. Make sure both your telephone and email address are accurate and up-to-date in your Account. Entrants using the Mobile Apps must have a wireless web-enabled device and may incur data charges from their wireless service provider. Check with your wireless service provider for details on these and any other applicable charges. Entrants are solely responsible for any such wireless charges. Each entrant should check their mobile device’s capabilities for specific web-enabled browsing instructions.
• ENTRY METHOD #2 via Mail: To enter via mail, on a plain piece of 3” x 5” paper, hand print your complete name, street address (no P.O. Boxes), city, state, ZIP code, date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy), daytime and evening telephone numbers and valid email address (optional). Mail in a hand-addressed, business-size (#10) envelope with first-class postage affixed, to: Albertsons/ ACME XTU Sweepstakes - 75 Valley Stream Pkwy, Malvern, PA 19355 which must be postmarked by January 23rd, 2025 and received by January 23rd, 2025 (“Mailed Entry”) to earn one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. Limit one (1) Mailed Entry per envelope. No mechanically reproduced Mailed Entries permitted.
4. PRIZES:
Total approximate retail value of prizes is $12,000. Prize structure is as follows:
- One (1) Grand Prize will be selected. $12,000 check awarded to the winner of the contest. The Retail Value (ARV) of Grand Prize is $12,000. The check will only be awarded to the winner registered to the account that enters the contest. No substitutions will be made. If the winner forfeits the prize, no alternate prize will be awarded.
5. WINNER SELECTION: One (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected on or about February 6th, 2025. Winner will be selected in a random drawing by the Sweepstakes Sponsor, whose decisions with respect to all aspects of the Sweepstakes are final and binding. Odds of winning any prize depend on the number of eligible entries received. Electronic entries will be combined with mail-in entries to form one pool of entries. Winner will be notified by phone and/or email.
6. GENERAL PROVISIONS REGARDING ALL PRIZES:
Winner acknowledges that Released Parties have not made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose.
BY ACCEPTING ANY PRIZE OR PORTION OF A PRIZE, WINNER ACCEPTS THE INHERENTLY DANGEROUS NATURE AND RISK OF ANY PRIZES, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY AND/ OR DEATH, ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HIS/HER PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES AND UTILIZATION OF ANY PRIZE IS VOLUNTARY, ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THERE ARE NATURAL FACTORS AND OCCURRENCES WHICH MAY IMPACT ON OR AFFECT THE SAFETY OF THE ACTIVITIES HE/ SHE IS PARTICIPATING IN AND HE/ SHE ASSUMES THE RISK OF SUCH FACTORS AND OCCURRENCES AND AGREES THAT RELEASED PARTIES SHALL NOT BE IN ANY WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY RESULTING INJURY AND/ OR DEATH.
7. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION:
Entrants must have a valid e-mail address. Potential winners will be notified by mail/ email/ phone and may be asked to provide additional information so that prizes may be sent to them. Potential winners of prizes valued at $600 or more, must complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability/Prize Acceptance Form and a Publicity Release (where lawful) (“Prize Documents”) which will be sent to the potential winner for completion and must be returned for prize verification and award. Prize Documents will be sent to the email address submitted at the time of entry, if applicable. Potential winners of prizes valued at $600 or more will be required to sign and return Prize Documents via email within three (3) days of notification attempt or prize may be forfeited. Return of any prize or prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification. Sponsor will report the total value of the prize to the IRS and furnish winner with a federal Form 1099-MISC for an ARV of $600 or more. Winner must provide social security number and, if requested, a completed Form W-9 to Sponsor or Administrator for tax reporting purposes. All winners are solely responsible for determination and payment of all federal, state, and local taxes incurred as a result of the award of a Prize.
8. GENERAL RULES:
Prizes consist of only those items specifically referenced as part of the prize. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize with a prize of comparable or greater value if the prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason. Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either expressed or implied by Sponsor. Prizes are nontransferable and no cash substitutions are allowed except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater value if advertised prize is unavailable for any reason. All applicable federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of winners. By participating and/or winning a prize, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the Sweepstakes process or Website; violates these Official Rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Entries generated by script or bot are not eligible. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter, if applicable, will be deemed to be the entrant. “Authorized account holder” of an email address is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet Access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Participants may not register with multiple e-mail addresses nor may entrants use any other device or artifice to register multiple times or as multiple registrants. Any participant who attempts to enter with multiple email addresses under multiple identities or uses any device or artifice to register/play multiple times may be disqualified and forfeits any and all prizes won, in Sponsor’s discretion. Neither the Sponsor nor Released Parties assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information including, but not limited to, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost/ delayed/ garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software, entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, damaged, destroyed, forged, false, lost, late or misdirected, deceptive or otherwise not in compliance with the Official Rules or any combination thereof. Sponsor reserves the right to modify, extend, suspend, or terminate the Sweepstakes, including any entry mechanism, if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the Sweepstakes is technically impaired or corrupted or that fraud or technical problems, failures or malfunctions or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control have destroyed or severely undermined or to any degree impaired the integrity, administration, security, proper play, safety, and/or feasibility of the Sweepstakes as contemplated herein. If the Sweepstakes is terminated before the designated end date, Sponsor will (if possible) select potential winners in a random drawing from all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the date of the event giving rise to the termination. Inclusion in such drawing shall be each entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy under such circumstances. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, including death, by participation in the Sweepstakes or use or redemption of any prize. Acceptance of any prize constitutes permission to use winners’ names, photographs, voice, and likenesses for publicity purposes in any and all media now known or hereinafter invented without territorial or time-limitations and without further compensation except where prohibited by law. By entering the Sweepstakes, you agree that potential winner names and city/state of residence may appear online. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the Sweepstakes materials and winner’s lists or the offering or announcement of the prizes. You hereby represent and warrant that you have read these Official Rules and are fully familiar with its contents.
9. DISPUTES:
As a condition of entering, you agree that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for Idaho; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will you be permitted to obtain awards for, and you hereby waive all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Idaho without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Idaho or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Idaho.
10. PRIVACY:
Any personal information that you provide in connection with the Sweepstakes shall be used by Sponsor and Administrator to administer this Sweepstakes, contact entrants, and for the other purposes set forth in the Sponsor’s privacy policy located at https://www.albertsonscompanies.com/policies-and-disclosures/privacy-policy/default.aspx. By entering this Sweepstakes you agree to and accept that privacy policy. By opting in you authorize Sponsor to provide you with information relating to products, services and promotions of Sponsor and affiliates of Sponsor.
11. WINNERS:
For the names of the winner, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope by 3/6/25, to: Big Game Big Ticket Sweepstakes, c/o, 75 Valley Stream Parkway, Malvern PA 19355
