Instructions

  • STEP 1

    Wash and dry the fresh produce.

    • ½ small pineapple
    • ½ small bunch green onions (scallions)
    • ½ avocado
  • STEP 2

    Cut off skin from pineapple; quarter, core, and medium dice. Place in a medium bowl.

  • STEP 3

    Trim and thinly slice green onions crosswise. Add to the bowl with the pineapple.

  • STEP 4

    Halve and pit avocado; scoop out with a spoon and small dice the flesh. Add to the bowl.

  • STEP 5

    Add cabbage and dressing to the bowl; toss to combine the slaw and set aside.

    • ½ (14 oz) bag shredded cabbage (coleslaw mix)
    • ¼ cup ranch dressing
  • STEP 6

    Preheat oven to broil on high and position rack in the upper third of the oven.

    Cut ham steak into 4 portions and transfer to a baking sheet pan. Sprinkle steaks with sugar and pepper on the top-side.

    • 1 tsp brown sugar
    • ¼ tsp black pepper

    Place baking sheet in the oven and broil steaks until golden brown, 4-5 minutes. Remove from oven.
